The ELFI is 0.4 ohms. It is also protected by a 30mA RCD. Can I leave it on?

Here's a question for baldsparkie lol

Not me mate, but I thought showers were his strong point lol. I'm only yanking his chain it's good to have a bit of banter! Some people take it more serious than others that's all.
Yup very true, they are clowns alright and we are tradesmen, we have to take it serious, electricity kills people, a leaking pipe will not, nuff said, n it.I was talking about the op lol
Nothing bothers me mate, I like a good p*ss and find other trades on site especaily plumbers have a better sense of humour than a lot sparks do lol

Personally I'd rip the cable out for scrap and run it on a 2.5mm T&E
Clearly you never heard of a water laden ceiling collapsing and killing.... don't underestimate the power of a little drip :icon12:
Now if we go back to that ridiculous thread about cable size.
If we knew the cable length and the measured voltage at the origin we could work out the volt drop[SUP]1[/SUP] and the resultant load[SUP]2[/SUP].
As I recall it needs a quadratic equation for the two variables [SUP]1[/SUP] & [SUP]2[/SUP].
Forget it! Its 45 years since I last worked this out and it gave me a headache then.

Not if you follow MIs and fuse everything down!No that would overload it.
