[ElectriciansForums.net] How would you code this?

Plug supplies the gas ignition.
Cooker switch supplies oven on a 1.5mm flex.
All on a 30A BS3036 fuse

Both flexes are routed behind the tiles.

The cable is not damaged or brittle and the faceplate is not charred through previous cable damage (I think).

As it'll be me trying to rectify this my categorisation (if any) may be a bit more lenient than others.

There are hundreds of cooker switches above hobs and very few problems with them as demonstrated by your situation where there is no sign of damage.
I would probably code as C3 and recommend the switch be moved or at least replaced with a non socket outlet switch and feed the ignition from elsewhere, perhaps that double socket that is too close to the hob on the left! At least it would stop someone plugging anything else in so close to the hob.
If the flex to the oven is manufacturer supplied then that it up to them.

Trouble is how to you change the faceplate on that old type of crabtree cooker switch?
