I get the apprentice to bag up all the off cuts and sling then in the van and store the bags up in the yard. Cashed them in just before Xmas and got just shy of £1800. One of the sites im doing at the mo is coming to an end so ripped all the SWA site temps out recently rolled them all up, labeled them all with how many meters. Last week I used them all on another site temp job.....result as been paid for the same bit of cable twice lol.

£££1800??? Wow you must be doing big big jobs. I took 2 full rubble sacks full of t+e scrapped on a rewire, got 20 quid!
if they were my jobs with £1800 of scrap cables left over, i'd be asking some serious questions.
Bloody well is. £300 scrap equates to something like £5000 of wasted materials.
it's not the cable value. it's what you do with it that makes it worth it.About £5500 worth of cable equates to about £1800 of scrap.

True and even working the maths out at that its still a lot so time to have a word I think lol.

I'd rather be scrapping it than having to replace cable runs because I'd been just a little bit too tight with the ordering!
Better to be looking at it than for it.
Exactly!
Although wiring my mates shed in MI this weekend I am being a bit more careful about not wasting any!
MI for a shed, that's a bit extravagant is it not?
