hi, can't suss this, doing an extractor with run on timer, which has led light. Cabled the separate isolation switch, two way to fan, 2 way to jb, light switch l1 to isolator l1 at jb, sperate line feeds to lights, common to line at jb with live feed from lighting ring, neutral has neutral in and and out for lighting circuit, 2 lights out, neutral from isolator in. Test it and nothing on switching on, there is power in ok but both lights out and fan, nothing, can't see anything wrong with wiring, any suggestions other than give up and go for a pint!

Sorry if I'm reading your post wrong but all you need is a 3 core / earth from the main light to the isolator, then 3 core / earth from isolator to fan.
From light: Neutral to N in. Switched Live to L1 in.
Permanent Live to L2 in.

To fan: N out to N of fan. L1 out to switched L on fan.
L2 out to permanent L on fan.
Earths obviously to respective terminals.

Apologies if that's not what you wanted but your post is a bit confusing.

While you're having your pint, sketch it out on a beer mat, take a photo with your phone, and post it up. :) Cos your description is... not very... clear.

as mentioned by Westward a link is the way forward, nothing wrong with that and the pull cord will then be the on off switch.
