[ElectriciansForums.net] Hob to socket distance - thoughts?

That looks very close.. Well within the 300mm and not far up from the hob.
Whats the situation?

refurbished kitchen ?

Could be mate... Was just wondering what the OP is after... Could have done with more info....
It's a bit like me posting a pic of my bare bum up and asking for comments....

A local NHBC inspector for new builds in my area will allow 300mm sockets away from sinks and drainers and 100mm minimum from a heat source (hob) be it gas or electric.
As Murdoch says there’s no minimum distance stated in bs 7671 only that accessories should be suitable for the environment and proximity
I’ve read various industry guidance which gives a distance of 100mm from a heat source ,will most likely satisfy bs 7671.
If this is a new install then I’d say that socket is too close for my liking and common sense/judgement must be used.
