Hey guys,

Merry Christmas (maybe too early? - I've seen hundreds of trees up so maybe not lol) from me and Lou, and on behalf of the staff, who I can't thank enough for being awesome and covering on all the forums for the past year or so. I've had a lot going on, and it's still going on. So thanks for that.

Are you guys all done for xmas? You getting all the calls from customers wanting things finished for xmas? You got all your xmas prezzies? (or shop xmas eve like me?

Here's to a brilliant Xmas and a wonderful new year. :)

We’re having a blue blue Christmas as Elvis once said.

This is just one end of the living room. There’s still the dining room to go.
Yes, it’s touching the ceiling.

The bay window there was specially designed when we extended the house.... just for a tree.

For the real/fake tree discussion... I would rather go real, from a managed source than a plastic tree that goes to landfill in a few years.
That said, we use the same plastic tree we had when we got married 20 years ago.

We are now on the Buck’s Fizz, watching mtv Xmas music channels and thinking about what do on the outside of the house

People like you should not be allowed to vote or operate dangerous equipment.
:D:D:D:D:D

Mostly on 12 hour shifts all over Christmas generating some Electrickery to cook the turkeys and power the Christmas tree lights.... uuuuuuug
Which site do you work at? If you have any problems with your switchgear or transformers we'll be happy to come and get some highly paid overtime to repair it all :)

Due to the strict rules on bad language employed by this forum, I'm unable to reply to this in the manner to which I choose.
I'd get a long ban.

It’s ‘Christmas’ not ‘Xmas’. Humbug, humbug. It starts on the 25th of December, not before, for a period of 12 days and that’s it. Humbug, humbug. I hate it as people feel the need to spend ridiculous amounts of money and demand things they want rather than appreciate a gift that someone has thoughtfully chosen for them. Humbug, humbug

I appreciate thoughtful gifts, so long as it's what I want and not cheap.

Amen.

I suspect by your location and what you have said that you work for or have dealings with South Wales Switchgear that was Brush Switchgear and moved there when the Loughborough site closed down

I used to work for South Wales Transformers about 12 years ago before they closed the factory and moved the transformer section to Loughborough. I now work for a company based in Swindon that specialises in AVC but I work in the department that does EHV/HV transformer and switchgear maintenance at power stations throughout the UK.

My son worked for the Brush transformer site at Loughborough and many moons ago I did my apprenticeship with Brush Switchgear then they moved it down to South Wales, I understand its moving back to Loughborough. But keeping on track have a great Christmas.

I haven't heard anything about moving back. I'll check on that.
Back on topic - Humbug!
