Hello everyone,

I have a garage full of electrical gear as i'm sure many of you do, various bits left over from jobs. Part on my lifelong mission is to keep getting bits out and not just getting gear in, as it's all money!

So i literally have thousands of old MCB's, RCD's, RCBO's fuses etc...

Does anyone know of companies that buy these? I don't expect to get much for them...

Could maybe put them on ebay myself but it would probably drive me insane managing something like that.....

Any RCBOs that are now obsolete or expensive to buy new (ie old Square D QOE or old memshield ) should sell on eBay for a good price, particularly if you take good photos and even test and state the tripping times.
As far as mcbs are concerned you will have to practically give them away, especially if they are still manufactured or readily available.
Maybe group things as joblots so your selling them at a fraction of their value but they have to bought in bulk to get the sale.
It’s all down to how much spare time you have, it’s a bit like taking you car to “we buy any car”, yes you’ll get quick money for it but not as much as selling it your self.
Good luck anyway!

Being in a similar situation I have decided to dump most, I am only keeping the Bill Tallisman RCBOs which I am going to put on ebay.

If you find an outlet, could you post it up please

I've got plenty, old and new, mostly in marked plastic containers. It's a bit of a menace storage wise but it can end up with a bit of air punching (or Thank FFT, at least) when you find a rare replacement tucked away.
When you think about it, over the years, the manufacturers and suppliers must have made a mint with different unused stuff tucked away in stores everywhere.

It all depends what they are, I had a load of old Dorman Smith mccbs and mcbs, sold them to a company and got a few grand.

Yeah I've heard the Fusewire markets about to blow

Sockets will probably be ok on one, a little inconvenient in the event of a fault though, I'd probably like a 7th rcbo in. Wonder if hes linked...
