Hi Guys & Girls,
i have an enclosed Meanwell LRS-350 12V switching power supply and to get it up and running ,3 core flex has to be connected direct to the unit{bare wire} and the other end a 3 pin uk mains plug.

So my question is as follows what size 3 core flex should i use to connect it all up.
Any info will be very much appreciated .
Kind Regards Discoeye

According to the info on the net about 348 w so if that is the case 0.75 mm2 flex with a 3 Amp plug top fuse BS 1362.

Hi,
took your advice and got the cable. I have a question can i use crimp connectors on the N/E/L ends to get a better connection on the screw terminals on the meanwell and if so what sort ,

Thanks ever so much

post a pic of the terminals. i'm concerned about the 12V side @ 350watts, thats just under 30A, so something like 6.0mm cable on that side, esp if the cables are a fair length. volt drop could be a problem.

Hi,
thanks for the reply. Got some pics for you. cable from power terminals to 3 pin plug will only be 12 inches.

the 240V coable will not be a problem 0.75 mm flex with a plug fused @ 5A. insulated ring lugs for the connections into the unit. 4mm or 5mm hole?

if the terminal screws are 3.5mm then your ring lugs need to be 4.0mm holes, with the cable enrty sized for the conductor csa. e.g. red for 1.0mm/1.5mm.
