Hi

My first post here, so apologies for any mistakes.
I think it will be DIY job with electrician sign off if required, but would like to do as much as possible by myself.

Aim is to install 32amp commando socket in my shed to plug in portable Tesla EV charger and future prove it so proper home charger can be installed in future.

I'll start with the outlet end. I have 32amp socket with locking system. I've calculated that I need 30m, 6mm swa cable to connect to power supply.

House power supply: from the meter it splits into 2x CUs. One is in the house and is feeding all the house circuits. 2nd (which I think is the one I should be targeting) is in the cabinet with the meter and it was put in there for PV system which is in the loft.

Due to location of the CU and thinking of not overloading home CU I thought of using the CU for solar panels....

I've read few threads here and there, watched number of videos and just looking for genuine advice from the experts here... Is it good idea? What would I need? I've been reading about SPD and MCB which would required and then double pole RCBO... But then my CU has only 2 slots... Could I use existing RCBO already there?

2nd question is... Would this be classified as a spur? Do I need electrician to test it and certify it?

A day for sure. I recently installed an Anderson with dedicated CU. The run was a fair bit worse as I had to drop a section of ceiling and chop...
