plan to install a 70mm swa into a 3 phase board.
my idea is to install a schneider acti 9, 3 phase board, with standard incomer etc, and install a schneider extension box below it. incomer or mcbs will only take say 25mm, so planning on using the extension box to reduce the 70mm swa down to say 25mm or 35mm with inline shearbolt connectors with heat shrink over. Thought using these i wouldn't need a hydraulic crimper. Do these conductors need to be fastened back via din rail, or is my method acceptable? whats your thoughts?

No like one of these that bolts to the acti9 board.

Use it in place of the extension box If you haven’t got room for both the external incomer kit and extension/spreader box. 70mm isn’t that difficult to manipulate in to position.

yeah that looks a good method, but the swa will be on an outgoing circuit, and going into a breaker, not the incomer , sorry. large cable due to lengthy run

In that case it sounds like a horrendous design when taking installation and selectivity into account. I wouldn’t be feeding a distribution circuit that’s over 150 meters away using a mcb as it’s OCPD. I would be looking at either a fused switch, a switch fuse or an MCCB with selectivity being a major factor/consideration in the design.

Thought you were going to say 3% which would have explained the 70.0, seriously bad idea selectivity aside already mentioned to try and terminate that size of cable to an mcb.
