hi, I am installing two LED down lights under kitchen cabinets. It is a kit supplied by Howdens including a 12v LED power supply. I have run a spur from an adjacent light switch and have put an in line switch in.

When turned on the lights are pulsing every second. I have check the wiring and removed the in line switch but the same issue remains..

Any ideas?

Thanks

power supply/driver - LED mismatch take them back and buy from an electrical specialist, not a kitchen supplier.

Actually the LED kits from Howdens are very, very expensive; think they source them from an electrical specialist, then make their mark up.

@Bjorn, firstly have you ensured all the connections are firmly pushed in? How have you 'spur from an adjacent light switch and have put an in line switch in'?

It depends if the light switch spurred from has a neutral. (apologies @Bjorn if this isn't the case)

Test the power supply by fitting a plug with a 3A fuse in it and plugging it into a socket.

Howdens do have reasonably good kit, but more expensive for nothing more than what you can get from somewhere like screwfix

Sorry, I actually put a junction box in the mains lighting ring and ran a spur that way so I do have a neutral.

Only thing to do is to check the connections in the junction box which is behind the wall unit.

All other connections checked and double checked

This is the transformer...

Have bypassed the junction box by using alternative connectors and the problem remains.

It must be something to do with the current coming from the lighting ring (now embedded in the wall!)

Thanks davesparks. Looking at the diagram on the driver that's what I interpreted too, but I heard somewhere that the DALI system doesn't like...
