what is the affect on starting current and torque of changing the electrical supply frequency?

I can find out that the speed changes etc from this website:

Changing an Induction Motor's Power Supply Frequency Between 50 and 60Hz - https://www.engineering.com/ElectronicsDesign/ElectronicsDesignArticles/ArticleID/8154/Changing-an-Induction-Motors-Power-Supply-Frequency-Between-50-and-60Hz.aspx

however I cannot find much about the actual question, any assistance will be appreciated thank you :)

To point you in the right direction to think about and answer the question for yourself - because you can - here is a 'model' or 'representation' of an induction motor using simple resistors, transformer and inductances. If you think about how the components' impedance changes with frequency you are on your way. First of all think about 0Hz or continuous dc. Then think about a very very high frequency say 10000Hz. Then think about going up from 50Hz. You also need to know that the torque/force produced between two coils depends on the currents in them. What do you think 's' represents? Don't worry about 'j' for now unless you have covered it in your course.

I would agree that the motor is by far the best part to replace. if it is powered and not turning then it is broken. Keep it simple!
