Two consumer units and meters. One pair for a flat above a shop and the other set for the shop. The armoured cable rising diagonaly above the consumer unit ajacent to the building electric supply feeds the the shop meter and consumer unit in an other basement room.

Appalling.
I don't know what the fuse is that the T&E going to the meter is, but I hope its a small one!
Also, it is not permitted to have single insulated conductors like those dangling from the T&E sheaths. They must be insulated and sheathed cables (aka "meter tails").

Wow, I wish I could make my installations look as neat and professional as that one.
when you find out who did it, you must pass on his number.
I might even give him some earth sleeving as a tip so he can finish tidying up the couple of things he overlooked.

He is paid in stella's but you need keep an eye on him and make sure he don't get at the beers till the jobs done.
