Walking the dog at 5am the other day on a clear night got to see the spacce X sky train - freaked me out at first, had to go home and google what I had just seen

Same here. I had seen it a couple of times when out walking late in the lane.
I did not know what it was until @Mike Johnson cleared it up.

Got called out earlier to look at a cooker that wasn't working. A 3.4Kw unit that was installed by a well know UK chain with their own installation teams a couple of years ago.

They'd already had three warranty visits from them when they finally diagnosed the SFCU being the problem when one of their 'electricians' burnt his fingers pulling the fuse 13 amp out.

Swapped out for a cooker connection plate so hopefully no more problems.

It appears that the 0.5mm arc patch in the fuse carrier was the problem and not the SFCU they installed when they fitted the cooker... The rest of the SFCU was in really good condition, at least they used MK...

Joy - former shower, supply still live. Seems to be joined to RFC 'somewhere'
'The builder said he didn't need an electrician'
Now checking rest of extension. The fact he didn't understand ceiling roses is already evident.

Builder said, so beware

Builder said, so beware
Yes, beware is the word. It was fed from a separate RCBO now marked "Garage", and of course that also supplies the garage consumer unit, arriving there in 10mm SWA, location of joint not conspicuous.

Who else gets those bank holiday friday call outs they really don’t want to see. Didn’t need to unscrew the cover on the shower as there weren’t any screws! ???

Frigging landlords ?
