Right ... Just been nudged to set this up by Paul.M and sounds a good idea following recent threads I've done in the Arms..

It looks like a BICC fuse with the BI callenders on it.

I imagine it's the original one! Cutout was BICC as is all the cable, all installed on 1963. Remains of that antique fuse is retained with my small collection of "antique bits"

Don't know what's worse, the missing cover on the esco, the link between neutral and earth after the meter or the fact that someone has managed to install a new board whilst this still exists and didn't even bother with a glam for the tails.

In a HMO somebody has been very creative with bypassing the meter, so they unscrewed the neutral in the incomer covered it in tape then shoved it back in, used the earth as the neutral as its a pme system, completely butchering the cu in the process.

Is the meter bypassed though? I can't really see what is going on?!
