I'm a newbie to electrical DIY. There are some connectors on a ballast that I'm not familiar with. The cable I have is an 18awg 300v with wire cores made up of multiple thread copper. I cannot get the copper into these ports so I need some sort of terminal connector. Does anyone have familiarity with these style ports to recommend an appropriate male counterpart?

Thank you in advance.

Small flat screwdriver pushed firmly into rectangular slot, opens up the internal cable clamp.
push in cable, pull out driver.

Thank you for the reply. I was thinking this was the case, but it's being troublesome. I'm also concerned at the long term reliability of a direct connection, if I get it to do so. Is there a connector to make this connection solid/easier/more durable? I've seen a lot of crimp style ends to use. Will any of the pin style ends work well for this?
