A recent widow called requesting a new consumer unit and chatted for a while. Her husband was a member of IEE, worked for GEC / GPT and did the last rewire.
I just got sent the photo's, a rather nice mini-museum.
I think that's the first Wylex with cover intact I've seen for 4 years. I'm not sure I've ever seen a clock point on it's own fuse before either.
The Black MK unit looks disconnected. (changed my mind, maybe not!)
I'm trying to remember, is that MEM one of those with asbestos behind the fuses?
And less importantly, it's bugging me, anyone have any idea what the numbers on front of the MEM are?!
