EICR code for hybrid final ring cir

Hi all new to form so thought I would as a question.
Testing a final ring circuit & all is normal apart from the live / brown legs of the circuit which are too short to reach the MCB so they have connected them together in a block & extended it within the CU via a 6mm to the MCB
Just wondering how you would code that if at all?

I wouldn't code it, but would make a note on the EICR about it. You can test the ring continuity and R1R2 from behind one of the sockets if the cables in that connector are too short to easily work with.

Ideally they should be extended separately with the same size cable as rest of circuit…
I might C3.
doesn’t have to be changed, but would save confusion when the schedule of test results says 2.5, but it’s 6mm leaving the breaker.

Depends what else in wrong in the property…
If you fix this, then you’d fix other C3’s…. the missing sleeving on switchwires, rcd’s on all lumanaires etc etc….

I would still do it makes easier to test and that joint is not likely to be great.

Technically it's a 'lollipop' circuit, so no code there, but you'd pay attention to the mechanical methods.

It's 1/3 lollipop, 2/3 conventional rfc, if the earths and neutrals are in their respective terminals.
