Hi.

I have recently moved into a house and I'm trying to install a Ring Hardwired Doorbell at the property. I've had a look at the Ring instructions and at the chime box but I'm completely lost as to which wires to by pass in order to give constant power to the door bell. I have a separate plug in Chime.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Another one!
Only difference is your wires are old red and black colours instead of the newer brown and blue.
Throw the Ring instructions in the bin.

Legend cheers Brain.

So just to check (before I risk frazzling myself):

Two Red into one of the connectors
Two Black into the other
Keep the supplied fuse wire (?) connected between the two.

See the pic. Cheers

The light may have a permanent supply already inside it if you are lucky.
