Good day

I’m doing an electrical course online with RIC ( routes into construction) I just want a little insight information about them whether they are legit or not. There’s some red flags such as; no reviews about them, their social media either has 20 following or they have one at all. If you had heard had an experience with them please let me know.

The website doesn't say where they are,
or exactly what courses they do, apart from the main subject,
or where they're Accredited fully equipped state of the art training centres with workshops and classroom facilities are in the country.
or anything about their Expert tutors with many years industry experience

Company Routes into Construction was only registered in Jan 2021 and has submitted 1 yrs accounts, so have hardly got a long established successful background.

I'd give then a miss. a very wide miss.

Hi, did you go ahead with this course? I've been talking to a guy about welding courses but like you I wanted to see if they are legit - I felt quite good about them but he just tried to casually upsell me into a longer and more expensive course and seemed a little too keep for me to start signing stuff so I got a little uneasy...

I have signed up with them and so wish I hadn't. I've signed up for the plumbing course. They just don't seem particularly keen on helping you once they have your signature. I WOULD ADVISE ANY ONE NOT TO GO WITH THESE GUYS.

Any updates on this, I’m currently over 7 months into this course and all seems well so far. The tutors always answer questions on the phone straight away. I’m due to book in at the centre soon but they’re closed for Christmas until Jan 3rd so will have to wait and see about this after.

They’re scam. They took my details and passed them to a debt company

They’re a scam. They passed details to a debt company and when you call them they are aggressive. Stay away!

I checked the company house and they only have 1 employee, the postcode is an industrial estate but couldn't find a building of RIC. very very sus if you ask me, I was certain there was something fishy about them when I couldn't get in touch with the guy who video-called me to sign up. I've wanted to cancel for months but they said I have to wait 12 months to cancel and there's a 3-month cooldown period lol. I phoned a number up that I had to ask how much I needed to pay to get it canceled and have done with them but they she said that its a completely different company that deals with that and was pretty rude on the phone and hung up.basically, just want to know what I can do because they say if i want to cancel it will be like over 2 grand

Yep they want 2grand but they’ve passed it to a debt company and it’s going up £200 a month I think the next step is trading standards
