Anyone can see those cables aren't double insulated, it sticks out a mile!.....

It may have been irresponsible to just put a bit of tape over it and not mention it on the PIR but not as irresponsible as the idiot that left it like that in the first place.
 
I'll post a copy of the PIR and some photo's as soon as I get time.

Started the EICR yesterday. Nearly all the cables in the roof space are chewed through by vermin - bare copper!!
 
This is the previous PIR the client had obtained. Apologies for delay in posting. For confidential reasons I've blacked out the client details and the electrician.

This is absolutely disgusting! To think that there are people out there stupid and ignorant enough to certify that as satisfactory?

Remind me why we all spend thousands of pounds on training, registration and qualification updates again...
