Hi, a question from a learner!...In the photos attached (I hope!) you'll see an incoming domestic elec supply. I'm assuming it is TN-C-S...but can anyone explain what the green earthing cable is coming from the bottom of the box to a BS951 tag on the Lead supply pipe..is this simply part of the equipotential bonding due to the lead covering on the supply cable, or is this acutally some kind of TN-S setup?...I've never seen this before.

Any ideas greatly appreciated! :) Cheers.

i dont think so....
look at the colour of the cable coming from the TN-S connection..
old colours yes?..
its an old TN-S thats been PME`d....maybe the TN-S was high....

Many thanks for all comments...yep my first thought given the green cable to clamp was that it's an ex-TN-S that has been PME'd. I have a PIR that was done on it a couple of years ago which is riddled with mistakes, (I won't say which company he was registered with!) to the extent I don't think some measurements were even made. He put a Ze of 0.22 & and TN-C-S which makes sense. Guess it would be worth disconnecting the lead clamp and getting a Ze measurement to confirm?..
