I've never noticed that before! socket RCDs are BS7288 and max trip time on 1x is 200ms. thats my lesson learnt for the day.

Which BS number RCD are you testing?
I seem to remember that being taught as the times for the circuit. But now my head is starting to ache.
300mSec. at x1. unless it's a TT system, where it's 200mSec if the RCD is used for fault protection.

I believe it changed from 200 to 300 when it went from 16th to 17th edition, for 61008 and 61009 at least.
