You're dead in the water D on the 1st pic.
He doesn't like those plastic pit boxes!
Go back and surround it with concrete! :)

Nothing wrong with the substantial plastic earth pit used here. Looks pretty good to me..
Think you are getting confused with those silly waste of space adaptable box type things that can just about accommodate one of those thin twigs....

Pah, you're just a dirty barsteward! Nothing will ever satisfy your urges! :D

You must be thinking along the lines of your own urges, i don't have or need urges these days myself!! lol!!

BTW why did you sink the earth pit box in the ground before driving in the earth rod?? I say earth rod, because i can't see any sign of a coupler being driven into the ground...

he`s just told me on the phone that he`s put 2 in....coupled together...

Very nice and neat, good pictures too....by the way, what did you ever do with that 12" off-cut of rod i posted you?........:yesnod:

Hi,

This is not meant to be nit picking, but I prefer the U clamp bolts so that the cable can be lugged and bolted to the rod; but that's just my preference.

Regards.

Nice tidy job D.
Is it cost reasons that you never used a Sarel box for the inlet socket? Then you would have been able to bring your swa in the bottom. Is there an IP washer at the gland?

Boydy

Aesthetics mate, keep external wiring to a minimal. The NYY I wanted to bring in from the top anyway, both glands are not IP rated as such but internally there is another hole into the plug housing that is IP rated.

Tip of the iceberg, believe me......lovely new house....garage 8 way cu separate TT without rcd. NIC approved contractor, I'm told.

Funny that?!

A quote from Phil Buckle of the Electrical Safety Council:

"We cannot agree with the report’s claim that the competent person’s schemes allow incompetent electricians entry."

There you go, then. When in doubt, brush it under the carpet.....how many times?
If it didn't make me cry, I'd laugh.
