Hi all.

Does any one know where I can get a double push to break switch for a cupboard with 2 doors?

Basically so it works if either door is opened.

Sorry I can't see your diagram on my phone dark wood.

What would be ideal would be the same as a normal push to break switch but with 2 pins one for each door placed centred between the 2 doors.

A PIR maybe the easy option, or wiring two together. Just needs to look good and they've already boxed plastered, painted coved the gap between the ceiling and cupboard.

After thought job by client.

IMO these frame mounted switches + cabling never look good - PIR option bit pricier but will 'look' better

Put a V shaped pivot on top of the switch actuator then opening either door the v will rotate and allow the switch to rise, might need a dual roller end instead of just a flat end.

I have a 2 door cupboard at home which has a pull switch mounted on the ceiling - string hanging down just inside, centrally between the doors...

I know it's a huge effort to physically switch on and off the light but I am very, very fit!

Cant believe that the op cant work this out for themselves. Ur an electrician god damn it man, so start acting like one.

Im hoping that he is having an off day.... so Im happy to help out. Trying to think positive...

i dont think it was harsh, i've been slated for much less. he is/was a employer, he must have had to search for solutions for tasks before. it doesnt say much for electricians in general when they need help to engineer a simple switching problem.

I'm a very busy one!

All I asked if anyone knew of double break switch as I looked and couldn't see one.

Thought someone might have known of one.

Thanks for the ideas everyone else

I'll have a better read later once home.

I didn't say it was a problem I was looking for a product!

If it doesn't exist I'll tackle that.

I am a employer, time is money :)

I did consider this but ended up going with this one. I wired it inline with the lives and works great.
