Apparently not all dimmers dim LEDs you need a led dimmer anyone had this had some Dali type LEDs now the dimmers for three we were quoted £800 client won't pay so ordered 12 new led 16w dim bile fittings wholesales tell me not all dimmers dim these fittings so he's quoted me £200 to make a 3 gang dim bile switch compatible with the fittings CONFUSED lol

DALI is a system where individual lights are addressable across an ethernet by a main controller.

Can you give details on the original fittings and the new fittings they've sold you, make and model numbers would be good.

Well the Dali ones left site today 12 new ones arriving Wednesday the made up 3 gang dimmer switch which I'm told is compatible with the new fittings is coming Friday price £200 I asked the wholesaler why I couldn't just buy 3 ordinary dimmers that fit into a 3 gang grid system plate and that's when he told me the dimmer has to be comparable to the led fittings I didn't no this the fittings are 16w roughly 190 mm in diameter won't no the make until tommorow

Have a look at the Hamilton LED dimmer. It learns what type of dimming the lamp needs and will even dim just 1 LED smoothly. (I'm sure 3 modules will cost a lot lees then £200)

The last time I brought a Dali dimmer I think it cost me around £80 for 1 gang - you have to remember they are not just basic dimmers hence the extra price. How much were the original light fittings if they were Dali fittings?
