Hi,
Im studying the same HNC. Ive completed All the core modules (except the project) and PLC module. I am currently trying to complete Digital and Analogue devices and circuits, but am having trouble trying to simulate an Op Amp using SIMetrix. Has anyone got any experience of using this, who...
Received a nice letter from err Ltd today saying that because my contract has been over 2years that I am not entitled to training by them. I only had to complete the nvq. Winner. More Expense Yey. They also haven't heard of AM2 which makes me wonder if they have a clue what they are doing...
I have spoken to them today about chasing up certificates that OLCI have apparently claimed. I am having to send in copies of all my certificates that i received to date, so that i can book on another module. Although they wont give me any dates that i can actually do anything. I think this is...
I am currently studying the 2357 qual and have got a little stumped on a question about the size of cable between 2 DB's.
What i am stuck on, is that i am not sure if the cable is sized using the size of mcb used for each of the circuits at the new DB, or whether its done by the rating of each...
i asked olci about this and they are going to let me know. i thought that they would have known this information before the course started. Anyone else doing unit 304 ???
with regards to infinity's question. this is a level 3 qualification which is replacing the 2330 qual. depending on where you do it, it can take as long as you like, but to complete the whole thing including nvq assessments i reckon about 2 years depending on your current knowledge,experience...
Andy, yeah mine is the same, because its a very new qualification they seem to be struggling on getting the course content accross, also the first few modules are just to do with the enviroment and working practices which is apparently what city and guilds are saying every course has to do. how...
ive done the first module (301) and am now going to do the massive amount of paperwork for (302). its not been so bad so far, although there is a lot of homework to do.
are you studying this qualification too?
just had my first assessment and passed thank god !! I had paul dudley, he was really good. He started off by checking all the paper work was in order, that i had all the correct reference material(bs7671 etc). then asked questions about building regs. Had to calculate whether an existing shower...
i was just going off what it said on the elecsa site. I think though if you do have any pic ups they will let you correct them and send in photographic evidence of compliance.
I must admit though,i am nervous as hell and have no idea really what to expect, apart from little bits that i am...
what was paul dudley like when he came to do your assessment, have got mine tomorrow with him and am nervous as hell. Mainly because its my first one and dont really fancy having to pay the fee again
Hi all,
I am about to register with elecsa. The question i have is, it asks for 2 completed assessment pieces.
It also says that the certificates have to be completed. If i am not already registered with a scheme, do i have to fork out for someone else to complete them, aswell as the cost of...
this probably is a daft question and the answer maybe staring me in the face, but im going to have to ask.
ive got a 32A ring for kitchen, 32A ring for rest of flat, 45A mcb for shower, 16A for boiler, 6 A for lights, 16A for cooker = 147A
i have a bs1361 100A main incoming fuse.
Would i have...
cheers for the reply,
im still a bit unsure about how to calculate it without direct measurement. going off what the question said i take it the pfc=400/0.2=2000A (2KA) but what would the pscc be???
your help is appreciated.
i'm currently studying for the 2391 exam and have been asked on a mock exam paper to calculate the pfc and pscc of an installation. Its a 3phase system supplying circuits of 400/230v 50hz with a Ze value of 0.2ohms.
I know the calculation for pfc = V/Ze but how do you work out the pscc. Its my...
