    Right!!....so just to be clear...we're talking about the kettle 'type' element that is attached to the 'roof' of the oven?? (Not some other element....(almost typed elephant there)....Oh I DID type elephant!!)

    Trying to contact Hotpoint....now Whirlpool...is a complete joke....chat was terminated...all I can do is book a service. No....no new/old appliances in the mix. Have tried plugging combi into different socket.....behaves same way, tripping the MCB after around 20 mins of fan assisted oven...

    Hotpoint Supreme Chef Combi/Microwave....yes....3-pin plug...designed that way....doesn't require dedicated wiring (according to specs!!) Has worked fine for just over 1 year....now out of guarantee

    It's a Wylex NHSXBS1B32 (32A 30mA SP Type B RCBO) that is tripping the ring circuit. The combi-oven is rated at 2000w on the back panel

    Hoping to get some ideas on why a 13 month old Hotpoint Combi oven (Yes....guaranteed for 12 full months...HaHa) might be tripping the MCB at the box. This doesn't appear to happen when Microwave is selected.....but only seem to happen when Fan assisted oven has been running for 15 to 20 mins.

    Thanks for getting back...that was quick!! The oven is stainless steel inside...and as such has only been wiped....it's pretty clean! Haven't used any spray cleaners.... If it was the element....can this be tested....or just look to replace it??
