LED Bulbs won't work together on same circuit.

That was my first thought too!

2 way 2 gang light switch problems

I've seen 1960's houses in the south east wired like that, but frequently the landing light uses the live from the downstairs lighting circuit and the neutral from upstairs; the borrowed neutral causes problems when installing dual RCD boards!

2 way 2 gang light switch problems

It looks like the 2 reds which are twisted together should be in the L1 terminal of the bathroom light switch. However without seeing it all in real life it's hard to be certain. I'd give an electrician a call. It should be straightforward to rectify.

LED Bulbs won't work together on same circuit.

    Are they 12V MR16 lamps?

    Local Heroes....A British gas innovation

They called me a couple of weeks ago to ask if I wanted to be one of their "local heroes". I wasn't interested. They did say that you need to be VAT registered to be accepted.

Transformer in LED light fitting not working

Check that there's a 230V supply to the light fitting first. If there is the problem will either be the transformer/driver or the LEDs themselves. In most cases it's the driver at fault. Has it always been an LED fitting or was it a halogen fitting that's been converted to LED? If it's a...

no rcd circuit on 5x5 splitload board

Looks like the bottom neutral bar on the right is straight off the main switch. I'm guessing there's a third neutral bar at the other end of the board for RCD 2.

no rcd circuit on 5x5 splitload board

Probably easiest to see if Schneider sell high integrity boards. If they do, you just need the busbar from the main switch with two outgoing prongs (one for the submain MCB and one for the existing RCD.

    Unpaid Invoices & Paying Suppliers

Probably best to get the thread moved to the Arms section first. It could further jeopardise any possible payments if you're found to have been bad-mouthing the company on a public forum.

aerial advice for block of flats.

It depends what the client wants, but often satellite and terrestrial aerials are supplied to each outlet along a single coax cable using multiplexers. You could always run the cables and get an aerial company to supply and install the hardware.

    Change it? Move it?

Ventilation equipment is permitted in zone 1 so long as it's suitable according to manufacturers instructions. 701.55

    DADE

I'd seen the rigid type with the adjustable cutting blades before, but hadn't ever looked at the DADE

    DADE

Very easy. It's made from a rubber material so you can pull it down and position it accurately before drilling.

    DADE

Well I thought I had all the tools and gadgets going! I bought a dust and debris eliminator (DADE) this week and I'm really impressed. It's used for catching the dust from drilling downlighters. Probably the simplest tool I own, but definitely one of the best (perhaps after my wire coat...

Advise about going out on my own?

So long as you're in the process of joining when you do the work you should be ok. You won't need to certify the work a second time, just do the building control notification once you've been accepted to the Part P scheme.

    Electric Radiators versus Storage Heaters

It's difficult to quantify as there are several variables. A single rate tariff is normally cheaper than a dual rate tariff. It's also possible that the heaters will be used less as they will only be switched on when needed rather than guessing tommorrows temperature with a storage heater...

Completing Zs box on schedule of test results

Perhaps the chandelier was installed before there was a power supply to the building, so only dead tests were possible at that time.
