Can Wiring to Wall Socket be Laid Horizontally Along Wall at Near Floor Level?

I have re-read the regulation and realize the mistake I made by posting the metallic capping. Apologies @Novice12 if I have misled you in any way. Thankyou @Taylortwocities for correcting me, thankfully I have never got into this situation in the first place, but if I ever do, I know I need to...

It was so long ago I took the image I don't remember. 1 cable was the feed into the light from the CCU 1 cable was the SW 1 cable was the feed out of the light to the next light The DIYer just mixed and matched the cables and when it didn't work we got a call.

Simplified S-Plan and Y-Plan Wiring diagrams

Apologies, I uploaded an older version of the diagram as I have many copies. New Copies: Also changed the roomstat terminals for ya. As for running the neutral and earth from the boiler, I prefer to do it that way where possible so all the cables are together and I'm not borrowing...

Can Wiring to Wall Socket be Laid Horizontally Along Wall at Near Floor Level?

@Taylortwocities Best to describe what I mean with a image. Allways place capping over the cables for mechanical protection. (Mainly from the plasterer and the plaster itself) @Novice12 Capping looks like this:

Can Wiring to Wall Socket be Laid Horizontally Along Wall at Near Floor Level?

Assuming this is a kitchen installation: He would have ran the cables surface mounted like that so the kitchen fitter doesn't screw the units to the wall and hit the cable BUT he should have ran them the same height of the sockets horizontally to comply with Zones prescribed in Regulation Group...

    New Electrical Install Question

If I'm correct, You have the right to not allow them into your property and hire someone else instead. However the cost will lie with you.

The diagram can be used as a boiler with a pump overrun as well, you just take the pump live / neutral / Earth from the wiring center and run it to the boiler terminals. It's just a guideline on how the average boiler is wired. It can be adapted how you need it.

Gentleman decided he was going to save money by wiring his light fitting himself, turns on the RCD board we fitted a while ago and tells us the board is faulty... Someone's attempt to wire a shower, not realizing he didn't get all the cable in the terminal. Or did he realize?!?! Love the...

You would run 3 core + cpc from the roomstat back to the wiring center. Sleeving all cables appropriately. My drawing just shows how it needs to be connected.
