    That's how I have done loads of blocks, but they was TNS and had a service head with 100/200A fuses. It's the lack of a service head that is confusing me.

    It's definitely a PME supply, This cluster**** is the combined N&E connections and the line connections for the lower two banks of fuses. but it was the lack of single point of isolation/main fuses that struck me as odd.

    No fuse switches just fuses. One fuse in the large grey Henly board for each flat then the laterals run in conduits to each flat, outside each flat there is a small meter cupboard with another cutout fuse.

    I had a look in there and it's just a spreader box. Didn't take a photo though. The set up is the same for the whole estate, I've not come across it before.

    No no my question was that the incoming PME supply terminates directly into the Henly distribution board with no fuses or other means of isolation. I was asking if this is normal on PME supplies to blocks of flats?

    Hi Buzz, This is in an intake cupboard at the bottom of each block. Inside the grey Henly distribution board are fuses.     The one in the photo is a Ryefield and I know the Blakely is the same, I've never seen any other type! Must be regional. That's why I like this site, every days a school day!:smiley:

    CT chambers have solid bars. You don't thread the cables through the CTs anymore. Never installed tri-rated in a CT chamber normally either a swa or normal singles. Only ever worked in London/Essex though so it might be different elsewhere.

    Your right Pete, it wouldn't be the DNOs decision. I think just another isolator before the busbar would suffice.

    Also check about isolators, you will need one as a single point of isolation probably above the new head before the ct chamber, not sure if you need one after it as it's a 20M run, then one before the new Busbar chamber. 3 x 200Amp isolators push the price up a bit! Best check with the DNO see...
