    sounds like the three core is the switch cable , red / brown will feed the switch (common) yellow/black and blue/grey will be the return . one will do the first light and the other will switch the second which has been joined at the first fitting. If this means nothing as in double Dutch then...

    Yes and that as well , I was called onto an agency 'pyro job' a few years back turned out to be 4 ends ! got other work after though from them so it was'nt a complete waste of time ! True a lot of guys get in a pickle with a joystripper and the dressing is'nt always what you'ld hoped for ...

    O k the lamps have come on a bit then including the LED ones Yes bayonets are better than pin for contact and you can earn more from doing it in SWA Theres merits and downsides to both methods ive used both, depends what the customer wants and the size of the garden as well

    You could do it in mineral just cost more and be weaker though

    They dont , the 12V ones last 5000 hours GU10 lamps are good for 1500

    Dont have 230V unless you want to make a job of it ! Less work and safer in SELV 20 W halogens are still quite bright as a 35W 12V Diachoic gives as much light as a 50 W 240V mains one for example PS Ive done loads of this type of work

    Its about 1A primary 20A secondary side 250 VA waterproof transfomer ( £80 approx )

    conduit is'nt realy the way to go. Cheaper and better job in SWA AS for the 2 wire thing , if it's an existing board and you have worked out the potential loading then ok
