I know this is a really daft question, so please dont shout at me but I cant work it out. I have 5 x 50 watt 12 volt bulbs powered by a 230 volt to 12 volt transformer. Could someone kindly tell me how many amps they use??? Thanks

O k the lamps have come on a bit then including the LED ones
Yes bayonets are better than pin for contact
and you can earn more from doing it in SWA
Theres merits and downsides to both methods
ive used both, depends what the customer wants and the size of the garden as well

No worries mate as you say it is a personal choice ........not sure I would do my downlighers in SWA though unless there was a good reason, and yes your size of garden does dictate the amount of lights .........;)

Only teasing mate you have your threads slightly mixed, but yes it's personal opinion which makes this game so good

Now that would definitely be a new one for me

Read the quote and it got my thoughts racing about terminating the swa into the bog standard downlight, with another looped off just to make it awkward :)

Now this could be the opportunity to promote the good old pyro install
Your mains downlights can keep shining brightly whilst the selv lights in the other room have caused the rest of the house to burn down
