thought maybe new megger X1 may need a software update , purchased today but calibration sheet was april 23 . done same test on MFT 1711 and both were similiar readings, however rcbo tripping on no trip low on 1711 crabtree starbreaker i always seem to get them tripping, i reverse earth in phase...
no i bought it on ebay from Pass reputable company very good , but no added extras, have successfully completed continuity test on my home CU today Martindale Safe Break came in very handy too ;o) the Megger is a good choice and I'm happy with it too.
all i want is the right answer, GE series CU, have 2 spare gangs if needed, Wylex NHRS206 CU at shed- how would you time servers connect that to shed 25 meters away, I've seen lots of threads adaptable box outside for termination of SWA (as its plastic) then into GE CU
theres no room I've just bought a brand new megger MFT1720 and the price of it I'm sleeping with it :o)) burglars take the tv but leave the megger please!
i think I'm going to upgrade the outdated CU to a main switch unit CU and RCBOs on every circuit, this will be for my niceic assessment once qualified 17th edition, Part P. ill get to the garage supply at a later date ill just make sure i leave a spare gang for her ;o)
me too its a shed or garage consumer sold as just that , so thats what got me wondering about RCD at source main CU also! 2 RCDS on same circuit sounds trippy
but 2 RCDs at either end? wylex new one already has rcd 63A 30ma trip? i guess i could change that for just a dp isolator? its at times like this i wish i was Brian Scaddans love child
i have rcd protection on the wylex garage cu ? or do i need rcd protection from main cu inside house? the existing cooker gang on 32 MCB is not RCD protected not a split load CU old GE
