    That must have been traumatising smelling his skin burning and unable to stop. I'm glad it wasn't serious for me. 4000volts sounds like so much. I hope it numbed and wasn't too painful for him. In my original question I wanted to know what jolt goes through the body, on the mains it's 240volts...

    I'm merely interested because apparently atrial fibrillation can be mistaken for anxiety disorders. I'd like to know which one I have and now I have a sort of lead I feel more comforted that it may be due to the electric shock and therefore atrial fibrillation. Anxiety disorder isn't an easy one...

Ok so back when I was 15 I plugged a second hand dvd player into an extension lead which had nothing else plugged into it (UK 3 pin).
