The fact that it's £83 for the extension suggests that it's pretty meaningless tbh....agree with Gav. Saying that, I haven't heard anything particularly negative about the inverters themselves

Thanks Dan, very interesting, glad you got it sorted. The DNO knows that it's a soft fail-safe rather than electromechanical shutdown in the event of a control failure leading to excess export?
It was a glitch based around the two different day/night rates but I thought it was sorted way back....I'll email Mirko, copy you in, and you can advise which systems it is happening to on the portal - he will fix it his end
How are you getting on Dan? Just curious but which DNO is this? I am not aware of any DNO accepting a purely software based "fail-safe" as, according to my info, even the SMA Tripower units do not actually output exactly zero Watts, they need to limit to somewhere around 0.5% (maybe 100W-200W)...
I thought it would have to be 3 meters, didn't realise you guys could have 1 FiT application with 3 separate meter serial numbers...thanks for clarifying
Ok, I would assume it to be a G83/2 "multiple install" application then, with a 1ph generation meter per install/site. You will treat it as 3 separate installations. Check the DNOs requirements for this type of multi-G83 installation - prob best to actually talk to them before proceeding. I...
Well...I'll just mention frame earthing and surge/lightning protection....and Type-B RCDs....to name but a few...haven't studied it deep enough myself yet
Fair play Gavin, can't help with any gear but if/when you're heading to the coast feel free to drop in for a cuppa....I'm just off the M20 so you'll be heading past :)
