Anyone read through it yet?....Some interesting changes. I'm waiting on my copy but got a quick look through it this week

nope. Am I going to like it?

btw MCS has basically signed up to changing over the this, despite the MCS steering group not being supplied with a copy prior to the decision being made, and without any impact assessment being carried out as is required by the MCS change process.

Am quite ****ed off with the entire stitched up set up tbh. Carrying out a consultation on the IET guide without anyone being told that MCS intends to make it mandatory for all MCS installers at the point it was being consulted on, and at the time MCS were talking about it sitting alongside the MCS guide.

How much extra unnecessary costs are they about to load onto us just at the point where we're desperately attempting to cut costs to stay in business post FIT cuts then?

has anyone provided any evidence yet as to how unsafe the 700,000 solar installs carried out to date must be to justify these changes?

I've been asking for that for 18 months, so far have had nada.

Most of changes are to bring Uk into alignment with Europe. It is not about whether existing installations are safe or unsafe. Agree some of this will be a pain in the neck, but would remind it is a guide. Interestingly we always used to earth the array frame, not for fault monitoring but as being in the equipotential zone.
