Hahaha sorry mate, funny how I assumed D was for dave without realsing it! I'll stick to calling you 'skelton' like the OP then!

    Eicr

you are correct Dave, I was looking at it from a slightly different angle :-)

    Eicr

I may be wrong, but I believe that if you cannot locate supplementary bonding but a test shows below 0.05 between all partd it can be presumed that it is bonded?

    Eicr

Basically to achieve what dave is saying you need to make sure that the resistance between all simultaneously accessible exposed conductive parts, extraneous conductive parts and exposed and extraneous conductive parts is less then or equal to 0.05 ohms.

Omission of overload protection for fixed loads.

Fair point, I see no need in a domestic installation situation to ever use 433-3-1. The standard circuits defined in the onsite guide are all that should be used in a new build/re-wire, However for an EICR its a different matter.

No rcd or rcbos on domestic installation

I would just c3 and put reccomendations in writing, not on test reports, maybe give them some sort of informative leaflet

Looks like the OP will have to wait for the morning gong to sound in China

School Leavers vs 2nd year apprentices

In honesty depends on the lad in question and what you think of him, however from personal experience as a school leaver apprentice, I can say that at 16 I didn't take work that seriously and wanted just to get through the day doing as little as possible (a continuation of school essentially)...

Omission of overload protection for fixed loads.

I regularly apply this to 8.5kw showers wired in 6mm T+E on a 40A MCB on EICR's, however only a fool would actually install it new in 6mm.

ELECSA Certification Scheme Elecsa assessment tomorrow afternoon!

Well done for passing :-), however I expect you can see why sparks who have had to do an AM2 and 2391 are miffed by the state of the industry!

Protective measures for fault protection on fused isolator

I assume he means he has taken an isolater from a busbar protected by 400A fuses? I'd say ELV ;-)

    RJ45 modules

MK and crabtree both do metal faceplates for the modules, I have never seen metal modules though. The modules tend to fall out a lot less then on the toolstation specials though!

    Off peak and domestic combined

Quite common in council properties, Wylex used to a 'superdeal special' with 3x main switches 1 for day rate, 1 for off peak and 1 for superdeal immersion, 3 sets of tails were needed.

    rcd help

More info needed mate? You only need to test the rcd with all loads disconnected (switch mcbs off) at the load terminals of the RCD.
