This a quick and simple one just for education and fun.
SPOT THE FAULT???
A Mentor (or a Trainee in time) posts up a pic with fault/s in it. Trainees then PM a Moderator with their answer/s. Lets have a prize for the Trainees efforts, its been quite a while to be honest.
@GMES I'll sort out...
PM sent for address. As for drills and drill bits, its down to me to bring them, got everything bud so dont worry about it. Just bring basic hand tools that you like using.
This will be good for your NVQ portfolio, it ticks a lot of boxes. Pulling SWA in trenches, glanding off, terminating a...
Sorry Lee, I see what you mean... They are singles in the 1st pic. We had to "clothes line" them up and out of the way (not leaving them on the floor to be stood on). 144 x 2.5mm singles feeding a 48 x 3pin 15Amp socket outlet fed in trunking that is out of shot. Each socket is for an individual...
On the left? They are 0.75mm twin DC cables for back stage Que lights. Signal to driver then to "Blue lights" (via a local AC feed).
Black ones on the rights? Speaker cables mate, DMX. Feels a bit like "Hi Tough" with stranded and not solid inside..... best I can describe it.
@ DOODY TOODY, hope you have not been falling down drunk and laying in a gutter outside a nightclub!!! Or setting fire to fish tanks LOL.
If you want some evidence for your portfolio, you can jump on a little job I have this coming Saturday. SWA in a garden feeding a garage and another circuit...
@High Tower that is better than my last RCBO C/U, nice work.
I'm working on a new build power station atm, temp supplies to 200+ cabins. I'll take a few pics this week and post them up, something a bit different from normal installs.
In the mean time here is a pic showing cable tidiness...
Spent 38 minuets on hold the other day until someone answered. The person I spoke to was not useful at all and just wanted to fob me off with their web site and "send an e-mail to.."
It has become beyond a joke now. They need more staff (that know what their are on about) and a system that does...
Yep I agree. Lets just hope that he got the terminations correct at the 100A main switch/fused Iso! God only knows what could happen afterwards? Maybe the next electrician gets a belt from a Live neutral???? Of course tests were carried out once the Iso switch was installed??????
The above is...
Hi my name is Paul. Stated at the age of 17 for a one man band house basher as a laborer. Learnt a lot about how to run cables in awful complicated houses but nothing about circuitry/methods/regs etc etc.
Time moved on and so did I. Went away from the industry due to falling in love and buying...
Galv would be best, PVC is more acceptable for costs and installation, pvc trunking should be kicked out of the equation.
You have a plastered ceiling. Run metal trunking along the top and drop down to each point in galv. The mental trunking will provide accessibility for all the changes that...
For the first time in yearssssss I'm without a van! Had to scrap it in to theses chaps last week:-
They gave me enough for a packet of smokes and a bag of fish & chips. Bye bye little Combo, I should not have abused you so much over the years.
Vanless!!! Feels like I'm walking around with no...
