got a last min job next week - supplier is out of the Dome S 1000 (need 24) and Dome porter screw set (need 34) - does anyone have any spares they are willing to sell?
When the house was sold - a handover form should have been signed by the previous owner - it should have been sorted out by his solicitor really - he may be able to take them to task on it? He'd be better off keeping them and looking into battery storage when the prices come down.
Thank you Ted - that was always my understanding. npower are telling me that an EPC for one of the flats would be ok (its a new build), i've spoken to 2 people there. I wondered whether the rules had changed and I missed it? They have sent me this bit of the Ofgem blurb to support what they...
Help please - has anything changed on EPc requirements on landlords supply? Does an epc/exemption need doing for the communal areas or not as I am getting conflicting information and not registered one like this for ages!
If you contact MCS they should be able to get you a copy of the Certificate which will have the panel details on, OR the company they got the 1 FIT payment from, they may be able to access the information.
installed for a customer who has just sent off application for BG via email. He has had a automated email suggesting that they will respond to applications within 28 days - missing off the end of the month cut off.
Previous customers with BG had a very quick turnaround and i don't recall any...
Thanks for the info Worcester
Yup - its a row of 6 privately owned units with no demarcation on the roof showing the boundary. so that space is next doors property.
The unit we are looking at is 7m wide.
Thanks for taking a look. We are yet to get on the roof to see it up close - we have been asked for a guide price for another unit on the row.
Space is tight and yes, it looks like the panels are right up against the parapet.
Worcester - what is your preferred mounting for this roof?
Does this level of mottling look about right to you guys for a 250w JA solar poly module?
We have been asked the photo has been sent by a company who we quoted for but they went with another installer offering a cheaper price - the installer has now gone bust. We've only installed JA monos...
We have installed 50kW on roofs before so are ok on the G59 planning side of thing and have some idea of the labour, inverter choices and cable management etc. I was after some guidance on how this translates to a field mounted system. I.e. inverter management (external vs internal...
What size supply do you have in the house? if only single phase then you'll have to apply to DNO to connect more than 16a (3.68kW). If you have 3 ph then you'll be ok.
The DNO may let you connect 8kw on single phase without any upgrade works, if not then you'll have to pay for upgrades (poa...
Hi Ted
I just wanted to clarify that I understand you correctly. 5% VAT is applicable if the installation is within the curtliage of the property?
Do you know if the tax free element of the FIT would be effected in the same way - trawling through the Ofgem guidance but can't see anything in...
If they are installing panels just to meet Part L of the regs then the developers won't care where the panels are on the roof or if they are giving the maximum potential for the space available. They just want to tick the box with the least effort or cost.
If there is no other option than...
Can anyone recommend a good ground mount system for a 50kW install?
Either single or double row of panels, pile driven ideally and the array area is very flat as it used to be a paddock. Looking at the Tric system Wagner do but thought that you guys would have some good recommendations.
