I do have part p yes, it only covered roses on the course and all the fittings I fitted on site were plugged into a click box. This is my first time fitting 2 fittings to one switch. Just want yo get it right first time cheers
I'm using singles.
So I got L/N/E from CU going to? Then onto ?
fittings both have a l/n/e terminal block in only
cheers
shoukd have just put a ceiling rose in lol
Just a quick one.
And I right in thinking I would take N/E from CU in shed to first fitting, take L from CU (with an E from fitting) all the way to switch, run switch L back to fitting and then just Dasiy L/N/E to next fitting?
not a lot of info on the web and didn't cover fluorescent fittings...
Cheers,
I did concider doing that, just wasn't to sure on wether or not I could.
Its all a learning curve for me and next time I will know what I'm looking for.
I am fitting this in the house as stated earlier in the thread.
10 Way Hi Integrity Dual RCD + 100A Main Switch Consumer Unit
the garage will be going to a 40amp breaker on the non protected side of the CU.
cheers
I listed what I was putting in at the start of the thread and changed the house CU accordingly but didn't get any feedback about the 5 way board so thought it was ok. Learning about the boards is all trial and error and comes with experience as they don't tell you anything at all on any of the...
Fitted out the shed today, came across a small problem "I think"?
i have bought the WYNH506, 5 Way Metal Consumer Unit - 100 Amp Switch from TLC and need to know if I can put the 40amp RCD in it? I will need to cut the bar down to size and obviously wire it up to suit, it's only that, all the...
Noted...
im gonna shoot down the wholesalers in a min to have a look at their boards anyway as theres no exploded views on any of the web pages.
I was always going for an unprotected mcb, just had the wrong type of cu in my first list
i suppose i have to go get myself a Torque Setting VDE Screwdriver as well now too, seeing as its my test piece?
there was a lot of talk about them in the centre and i know there is mixed reviews as to the need for them
10 Way Hi Integrity Dual RCD + 100A Main Switch Consumer Unit
would i be better going for something like this then for the house CU?
with a 40 amp rcbo for run out to workshop?
the cable will be run along the wall of the house, across the top of a fixed gate and along the wall of the garage to the new workshop, all clipped and out of the way of any traffic.

This will be the first job I have...
