hello i want to remove some down lights from a room
before i remove the fittings and reskim ceiling etc
i was hoping to take out the bulbs and find some blanking plates to fill the holes
do these exist as i cant find them ?
i suppose the market for this product is pretty small !

hello i need to sort out damp causing problems for a phone point
my question is ... is how do i disconnect the telephone wires as they are punched in .. i need to disconnect so i can add a pattress box and then re connect ... do i just cut the wires and the punch them back in afterwards ...
thanks for promt reply telectrix .. i asusme i have to cut the wires to remove them from the front plate and then use a krone tool to put them back in .. i was thinking as this is an auxillary phone line .. if i tapped up the ends of the lines .. add the patress and then a blanking plate should...
line comes in from cable but goes into another room on another floor so unfortunately not bt's fault .. re the patress box ... are their patress boxes which are waterproof ?
then i am worried about the build up of water in the box behind ... can i take out the metal box in the wall and paint...

hello, in a rental property we have. the tenant has told us that the internet stopped working so called in BT, there was water in the socket, unit replaced. 6 months later the issue reappeared again ..
we had damp proofing course done 10 years ago .. company gone bust so no warranty .aahhhh...
if i had 12 leds on a 10 maximum dimmer, if i took the bulbs out of two sockets, would the dimmer think there was 10 bulbs working ? does anyone know of any blanking plates / covers that can go on top of or in the empty downlighter ?
we have the same dimmers and bulbs across whole install , audible buzzing just on a coupel or rooms that have the most number of lights attached to one switch .. if each room buzzed i thought something wrong with set up .. i assume cheap bulbs are the problem but dont want to shell out for...
yes 2 way silent trailing edge 250w dimmers led .. varilight v pro .. lights wills dim not to full off and dimming increases the buzzing if that means anything
i put in a ring of 12 leds in a room (too many in reality)
put in a good dimmer meant to be able take load but lights causing horrible buzz
i am currently using 5w bulbs
if i replace the bulbs for 3w should that reduce the load and stop the buzzing, trying this before having to take lights...
