Goes out from intake to switch room on a private pilc and a pyro in parallel, about a 120 pilc and a 16mm pyro which are taking different routes through...

    Best Snickers trousers?

Go for the floor layers with the bean bag knee pads mate if I was you. The newer ones they brought out recently are a bit snug cos they changed the sizing. Got the ones with zipped pocket on holster and thigh and had to go up a size and they're still tight especially on the legs.

    lighting fault

Will get a reading between switch lines etc due to capacitance if run in proximity. If lamp holders/ lamps burning out badly then I'd prob say replace entire fitting after IR test. Are they fire rated or open back fitting's, insulation around them or loose connections ?

PIR 40 circuits a day is it possible ?

Doing a hotel at the moment priced off old Certs at 40% of 72 bedroom hotel. Gotta go back tomorrow after day 1 as previous test was only worth about 4% found loads of extra db's. Done about 40 circuits between 2 today after a 3 hr drive finished at 9 just back from pub. Not worth it in the op's...

    New Wago connectors

All the ones I use only have a limited selection of ideal no wagos. I use TLC for them but they seemed a bit expensive. I usually just buy the largest selection pack around £70 but they don't come with the 221's

    Last nights callout

Had one job where a mate thought his missus had knocked over or split some baby lotion or similar as he said it smelt lovely. Turned the 10kw oven on and obliterated the main cutout as It had been smouldering all day, I turned up and found I couldn't pull main fuse as it was welded in open...

    Last nights callout

Yeah the terminals will feel tight even when loose haha as with some other stuff. Best to strip back to bright if there's enough slack in iso. If not a joint or 2 helps I find.

South Wales (Cardiff) solar installer recommendations please.

I had similar on 2 jobs last month which I had to check out for a company I sub to who installed them 4 years ago. All running fine until wet and cold as you say then taking out a 100ma on one job and a 30ma on the other. No problems when I tested so I assume it's the same 'fault'

    Last nights callout

Loose connection mate usually find it prevalent on the neutral connection. Exacerbated due to heavy loading from shower. Think the moisture is due to the plasticisers in the cabling and perhaps switchgear leaching out through heat

Tbh it was the ****tiest house I've been in this year and that's electrically not just the decor. Saw about 20 faults by db's, 2bathrooms and sticking my head in attic for 1/2 hr

    Last nights callout

Callout by Chippy & plumber both stumped by loss of power to boiler but not really surprised there. Got their to find 2 TV boosters and the boiler spurred off the shower circuit via Un switched fcu directly above the isolator. The iso had become so hot that the plasterciser or whatever was...
