a good quality LockOut /Tagout kit?

Couldn't agree more they are silly money, seems to be the way with safety equipment! The B&Q one is the most comprehensive kit I have seen at an affordable price. My lock off kit is much the same a combination of kits and individuals as I have needed them and left overs from bankrupt companies...

a good quality LockOut /Tagout kit?

Good Morning Thread - Come say good morning, tell us what you've got on today. :)

So did I @Moley! So far this morning I have been and retrieved my PC after it died on me on Friday and has now been fixed. Started putting all the programs back on it. Realised that all my Easycert certificates from the last 5 years are gone apart from the PDF copies 🤦‍♂️ I hate technology when...

    Control of outdoor lighting

Think it's 100m outside 30m inside. It will work fine through a wall as long as it's not over 500mm thick solid stone. I had one once, old Cottage with thick old walls, wouldn't work unless the switch was in the nook for the door. I have fitted them in all sorts of places and never had an...

    Working by yourself

^^^ I had an apprentice like that, he was a great lad worked really hard and listened well. By the end of year 3 he was absolutely superb, we could get through jobs with great speed and efficiency. One day he came in looking a bit down and said he had got another job with a big multinational...

    aldi tools not working

I actually have had a good response from ALDI to power tool returns, as long as you have proof of purchase. It was through the tool manufacturer in Germany. ALDI gave me an email for the faulty goods with a form to fill out and sent that with some pictures. A week later a brand new drill...

    Control of outdoor lighting

The possibilities with Quinetic now are almost endless. https://www.quinetic.co.uk/ About half way down the page, various modules for most popular grid switches. I have used the click ones before and they have been spot on! Agree with @nicebutdim if you just want really basic control.

    Working by yourself

I have no preference really, I am a firm believer that two blokes can get more done in a day than one bloke can do in two! It is really useful having an extra pair of hands. If I'm working on my own I'm quite happy, get some music on and crack on with it! Even when things don't go as planned...

Good Morning Thread - Come say good morning, tell us what you've got on today. :)

Biggest I have been involved with so far was a 185mm 4core at a job in Daventry some years ago that was 120 meters up over a machine shop then down through a duct in another building. Many hands, cable Jacks and rollers used and a winch system to get it up over the machine shop. Not installed...

Good Morning Thread - Come say good morning, tell us what you've got on today. :)

When I was younger I used to love big cable pulls, as I have aged not so much! Thank goodness for modern cable pulling equipment, coupled with rollers, makes life a little less painful the next few days!

Possible faults with old charge master/ no pulse

Only one time I have ever seen one of these installed. Also had a not charging fault, turned out to be a broken wire on the PP side of the tether! Edit Might be wrong actually not sure it was that one thinking about it!

    UK Thermal Imaging Query

I'm sure you will have no problems with one! I spent a couple of hours in a main plant room at a large company I do work for familiarizing myself with mine when I first got it. This was a great place to test it as there were boilers pipes and electrical equipment to point it at and get use to...

    UK Thermal Imaging Query

I have had no formal training with one, they are pretty straightforward to use and navigate round. If you have the work for one I would buy one! It's amazing what you see giving off heat through one when y have one!

    Automatic gyroscope laser level

I actually made some magnetic L brackets that the laser attached to as it would on a tripod. It was nearly free, a cut in half floodlight bracket with some neodymium magnets metal glued onto it! Comes in handy for commercial steel framed buildings!!

    Automatic gyroscope laser level

Huepar is good kit, one of mine is a Hue! It's been excellent and will Project a fair way and will do all around which is very useful for kitchens. Mine didn't come with a tripod but I have an old one that came from another laser that was the same mount.

    UK Thermal Imaging Query

I don't know how it was available in the UK, mine came from Edmundsons about 3-4 years ago and cost less than ÂŁ500. It is handy as you can save and download what it has recorded, just looked the really expensive ones. I think you are looking at this from the wrong angle, as when customers know...
