Heatrae stat is the newest one, old one was stieble.
Water at the tap doesn't seem over hot.
Possibly bent stat tube but that would need the plumber to come back and...

I have an ongoing issue with a top entry immersion heater over heat stat that keeps Tripping out. (Built into stat) On a 24hr mechanical timer.
The tank was replaced just over a year ago and with it a new immersion heater and stat.

I have one of these below, it is basic but has been very useful for distribution and contactor panels!
It has found some poor connections where the terminal has not been tightened up onto the bus bar.

They are actually very well made, my first one lasted for over two years before the front pouch got punctuated by a screwdriver but it was still usable, the current one is just over 3years old and still going strong!
For the price they are excellent!!
Speed does come with experience, but I have found that everyone works at their own pace!
It's one of those things that the more times you do something the faster it becomes and you will find some quicker way of doing it through watching others and sometimes YouTube too!

I left holes in the Plaster trying to hit the spinners with my pistol😀 never was any good with a pistol, I can never get my breathing right and wobble about to much to be accurate.
That's what the megger 1741+ does. No delay up to 500v but it will delay, beep and flash on the display for 1000v before it starts the test!
I favour an analogue meter for fault finding and still have an old Metrotest that I use for exactly this!
You can use Napits software or pick your own software to use.
They charge for notifications every time you submit one, but they don't need to see the test report apart from at inspection time when they check your paperwork.
Interesting @baldelectrician I have been looking at zero to use too as I have just gone limited and was looking for something to ease the pain of accounts, tax and invoices. May I ask, How much of it do you use and have you had any issues with it?
