    Adding sockets.

Just a quick one. Can you add more than one socket to a ring main by putting in a 13 fused spur then adding the new sockets as radials off the spur? Have been told yes and no. A definitive answer would be great. Cheers

    Conduit ideas.

Hello all. Doing a favour for a mate. He wants an "industrial" look his new wiring. He wants metal conduit and chunky surface fittings on bare brick walls. I can't remember the last time that I installed metal conduit. I haven't got a bender and no taps and die's. He doesn't mind if...

    Ballpark price please.

Dear all, I won't bore you with all the details but have asked to get a price for certification of an existing two storey ex call centre. Not something I can do. It is three-phase and has two distribution boards. 20 way and 15 way. I know it's " how long is a piece of string" and many factors...

    2382 whilst taking level 3 of 2330

Not sure about the 2382 but don't bank on doing much practical in your 3rd year 2330. I did mine in London and honestly wore my boots about three times in the whole year. Forget your tools and load up on calculator batteries. Good luck.

    Memorable Information

Hello Wardy, In my muddled head I always remembered it as the word VIR, Voltage= Current x resistance. Also the word PIV, Power = Current x Voltage. If you can transpose, they are all you need! If not you may need the triangle and circle as shown. Good luck!

    Have I done enough?

Hello all, I have built a couple of boxes out of MDF for 50w GU10 fittings (two lights in each box) They are 6" x 6"x 32"ish or 150mmx150mmx 800mmish in new money. I have put a vent in each. Should I be thinking about "treating" the inside of the boxes with any fire retardent...
