Hello all.
A bit of background firstly.
Im 50 and retired from my previous career. I completed the 2330 electrical installation, level 2 and 3 around 8 years ago. 17th edition.
I have been working for an electrical firm but am not realy sure its my thing.

Just a quick one.
Can you add more than one socket to a ring main by putting in a 13 fused spur then adding the new sockets as radials off the spur?
Have been told yes and no.
A definitive answer would be great.

Hello all.
Doing a favour for a mate. He wants an "industrial" look his new wiring. He wants metal conduit and chunky surface fittings on bare brick walls.
I can't remember the last time that I installed metal conduit.
I haven't got a bender and no taps and die's.
He doesn't mind if...
Dear all, I won't bore you with all the details but have asked to get a price for certification of an existing two storey ex call centre. Not something I can do.

I have been in the same job for nearly 27 years but can retire at 50 ( hopefully) on a pension.
I have dabbled part- time in electrics for years but was nothing more than a labourer, so I decided to get my "...
Hello all,
Just a quick one; what does the term " high integrity" actually mean in regards to a CU?
What is the the difference between one which is high integrity and one that is not?
Thanks in advance,
Gerry.
Hello Wardy,
In my muddled head I always remembered it as the word VIR, Voltage= Current x resistance.

If not you may need the triangle and circle as shown.
Good luck!

I have put a vent in each.
Should I be thinking about "treating" the inside of the boxes with any fire retardent...
