    Maybe ask your new electrician how much he would have charged to do the works you've had done so far as well and then look at his standard of work. If he gives you a similar price and it's clear to see that he does a much better job, you'll realise you've been ripped off.

    RCBOs alone are £30ish at the minute so wouldn't they be slightly more expensive with the added AFD tech?

    You pick up the multimeter, turn it to the off setting and put it down. Next you pick up your phone and call an electrician ? Seriously though... fault findings an art (not a recognised one) and if you've never used a multimeter or megger before let alone done any fault finding, you'll struggle...

    And who decides the standard of work which falls below good workmanship? We all agree that this is poor workmanship, but there will be plenty of people who do the job correctly but their work looks rough... would that be classed as bad workmanship?
