    Installing FCUs for bedside lamps

Great advice, you've left no question unanswered, much appreciated. Nice to engage intelligently with a forum user. I've been abused elsewhere when asking questions - the stock response being if I'm asking questions I don't know what I'm doing, which as we know is just a ridiculous position to...

    Installing FCUs for bedside lamps

Won't need much additional chasing I suppose, other than the right side bedside so I can connect the new cable for the additional socket. I'm in an old house with solid plaster walls so the existing cable is well and truly plaster in and can't be fed through the cavity. In terms of the back...

This looks much simpler and possible, albeit with a bit more routing out of the walls than I planned, but I suppose a job worth doing is worth doing well. Cheers for taking time to sketch this out.

Ring Video Doorbell Pro installation - wiring advice

Thanks. In retrospect yes, but it means buying an adapter, and as I have the bits and bobs I've mentioned in my scheme already thought it was just extra expense.

Ring Video Doorbell Pro installation - wiring advice

Thanks. I had thought about what you suggest, but the doorbell needs the transformer, which is designed to fit on a DIN rail. To save hassle and expense I thought I could just house it in an enclosure and while I'm at it stick a 6 amp MCB next to it thus resulting win only one box on the wall...

Ring Video Doorbell Pro installation - wiring advice

Hello everyone. I have just purchased a Ring Video Doorbell Pro and want to install it as follows as below. For complete disclosure, I am not a qualified electrician but a responsible and experienced DIYer who wouldn't undertake work I felt was dangerous, and always check the regs to make sure...
