:laughing::laughing::laughing: LOL I was wondering how a mouse or even a rat could chew through SWA, the rubber possibly, but the wire armour, hummmmm.

I agree and dont get the entire fence argument, however, down south we do have the biggest badest rodents.
To be honest...
Hi all,
Hope someone can give me clarity around the need to bury an SWA cable please.
I've been asked to install an 4mm SWA from the main DB to a "to be built log cabin" at the end of the garden about 50m away, it will need to run along a fence for most the route (or underground).

Hi all,
Hope you are all well and all is good!
I am looking for some guidance as per the title please.

Hi,
Sorry, yes I was going to use a 10mm cable but only to supply the loft conversion and the circuits listed on my original post, I would also use a fused isolator. The main fuse is 60amp.

Hi all,
Was just looking for some best practices around using plastic mini trunking.
How do you guys join trunking on corners of walls that are not right angles so you can't use the normal pre made bends. I mean I've got a vertical wall and that has got a bend of about 30 degrees in in...
Hi all,
Can someone please clarify the above?
If im adding a new circuit to an existing installation that does not have bonding to the incoming water and gas supply, is it a legal requirement that I add it before I install a new circuit?

Gavin,
Believe it or not, the oven was wired straight into the terminal block shown in the photo. I was thinking the following setup; MCB on board - 45amp cooker switch - fcu with flex outlet to cooker (based on all the helpful info above). Mainly because it would make it simple to upgrade.
